Alma Brinkley Owens, age 91, of Decherd departed this life on Friday, February 11, 2011, at her residence following an extended illness. She was a homemaker and of the Nazarene Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Owens, daughters; Betty Owens Prince, Jean Mathis, Kathy Gail Owens and Son, Johnny Owens.
She is survived by her daughters; Joann (Chester “Buck”) Howell of Shelbyville. Linda (J.D.) Jones of Manchester. Henrietta Owens (Richard Robinson) of Shelbyville and Judy Syler of Manchester. Sister, Ruby Anderson also of Manchester. 17-Grandchildren, 24-Great-Grandchildren and 16-great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Owens Chapel Cemetery in Winchester, with Bro. Keith Nunley officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00-1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
