I have often admired your quick wittedness, warmed by your genuine smile, inspired by your connection to family. I will never forgot when you invited me to help with the party for your (other) wedding: that event helped to bring Jim and I back together--in a way, you are singularly responsible for the birth of our son, James Harrison Pauley, V! You planned most of our wedding--it was so lovely. I remember my sister's wishing that they could have been as close as we were all those years ago. You always embraced my interruptions: I remember you telling me once that these are the best discussions because you always knew that I was listening...such a rare spirit are you! I remember when Harrison came home after he and Ryan spent the weekend with you and Phil: he ate eggs! Goodness, he talked so fondly about your fantastic breakfast and how much fun it is to be around you. A rare person has been able to cause uncontrollable laughter from me: you did it so often. When I think of when you were on a roll joking about anything, I immediately smile--as I am at this moment. Thank you for all of these great memories, Christy. I know that you are where you need to be now, and it is a better place where the weather is just right, good company is all around you, and the discussion is spirited. You taught me so much and never even tried to do so. I have always loved you as one of my own sisters.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't get to see Christy very often since she was in Middle Tennessee and we are in Knoxville but it was a joy being able to work with her. She was a very kind person and was very well thought of at our firm. She will be greatly missed. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss...for all of us. I take such great comfort in knowing that she was a member of the Church of Christ and knowing she is Home. Christy was so loved and respected...she was always smiling and full of fun. My heart is so sad but I am so happy to have known her.
