Harry Tucker, age 62, of Manchester, formerly of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro. Before becoming disabled Mr. Tucker was employed for many years as a welder for Trol Car in Chicago, IL. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army.
Mr. Tucker was the son of the late Alice and Walter Tucker. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Dora Bolin and brothers; Larry, Hoyt and Leon Tucker.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Tucker of Manchester, Daughter, Amanda Shaffer of Elkhart, Indiana. Grandson, Colton Stephens of Manchester and four additional grandchildren. Step-daughter, Deborah Ferrell of Manchester. Sisters; Hazel (Danny) Palmer of Estill Springs, Betty (Noah) Spencer of Vandlia, OH, Patricia Thomas, Barbara (Richard) Cable, and a brother, Phillip (Sheri) Tucker all of Estill Springs.
Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with the Funeral Services at 4:00 P.M. with Military Honors bestowed. It was Mr. Tucker’s request that he be cremated following services.
