Jimmy Ray Honea, age 64, of Tullahoma, departed this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Southern TN Medical Center in Winchester, Tenn. following an extended illness. Mr. Honea was a member of the First Church of Jesus Christ in Tullahoma. He as employed for many years at Worth Bats in Tullahoma before becoming disabled.
He was preceded in death by his brothers; Horace, James and Alton, Honea , step-daughter, Robbie Isbell. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Honea of Tullahoma, Sons, Larry (Cassondra) Honea and Scotty Honea of Huntsville, Ala. Jimmy Ray (Jennifer) Honea, Jr. and David Honea all of Manchester, Tenn. sisters, Martha Parker of Indiana, Deloris Pursley of Tullahoma, and a brother, Tyrone Honea of Tullahoma. 7-Grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 7-great-grandchildren. Step-Children, Roy Cunningham, III of Huntsville, Ala, Sheryl Johnson of Tullahoma and Regina Peace of Lacy Springs, Ala.
Visitation for Mr. Honea is scheduled for 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday evening with services 1:00 P.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Carroll Taylor and Sister Sharon Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery in Manchester. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made by contacting Grant Funeral Services.
