Kate Kilgore, age 79, of Winchester passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Life Care Center in Tullahoma, TN following an extended illness.  Mrs. Kilgore and her husband were the owners of the Memory Lane Antiques Store in Downtown Winchester for many years before closing due to her illness.  She was of the Church of Christ Faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. 

Mrs. Kilgore was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Gertrude Jordan. Her first husband of thirty-eight years, Paul Layne. Daughter, Brenda Layne (Logan) Milton.  Brothers;  Jessie, Kenneth, Vestal and Howard Jordan.  Sisters; Medra Thrasher and Celesta Rogers. 

She is survived by her husband, Roy Kilgore of Winchester.  Daughter, Debbie (Ray) Holliday of Winchester Springs.  Brother, Harley (Sandra) Jordan and sister, Iona Billingsley all of Chattanooga.  Grandson, Troy (Amy) Holliday of Winchester.  Granddaughters; Stacy Ingle of Winchester Springs and Denise Holliday of Winchester.  Great-Grandchildren; Thomas Goodman of Winchester Springs, Taylor Holliday of Winchester, Farra and Sydney Ingle of Winchester Springs.  Step-Daughter, Debbie (Nickey) Hall of Bethpage, TN.  Step-son; Royce Kilgore of Wichita, KS. Step-Grandchildren; Michele (Travis) Bandy and Jason (Trisha) Hall of Westmoreland, TN. Royce Kilgore, Jr. and Kimberly Kilgore of Kansas. Great-Step-grandchildren:  Kristen and Mason Bandy, Royce, Alicia, Preston Williams all of Westmoreland, TN.  Taylor Schuck of Kansas. 

A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Sunday evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Jim Michaels officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. service time on Sunday.
