CARTER, Kenneth "Big" 26, of Huntland, Tenn. went to be with the Lord on Saturday June 25, 2011.  He was born Friday, Aug. 31, 1984 in Fayetteville, Tenn.  He was a 2003 graduate of HuntlandHigh School.  Mr. Carter was employed by Thompson Appalachian Hardwoods, Inc. in Huntland.  He last attended the Huntland Church of God.  He loved the outdoors.  His hobbiese included hunting, fishing, horseback riding and 4-wheeling. 

Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ed Carter.  He is survived by his mother, Patricia Carter of Hazel Green, Ala. Father, Kenneth Carter of Fayetteville, Tenn. daughter, Harley and son, Noah of Russellville, Kentucky.  Sisters;  April (Tim) Purinton and Melissa (Danny) Stewart, brother, Shawn Carter all of Huntland.  Maternal grandparents; James and Kathy Meeks of Belvidere, Tenn. Paternal grandmother, Rachel Dunnavant of Fayetteville,  nieces; Breanna Medley, Katie Stewart, nephews; Kaleb Medley, Joshua Purinton all of Huntland.  Several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Visitation for Mr. Carter is scheduled for 6:00-9:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.  Services for Mr. Carter are 11:00 A.M. Wednesday with Bro. Mike Robertson officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Huntland.
