Leon Lorenzo Vandermark, age 59, of Estill Springs, Tenn. passed
away at his residence on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 following an extended
illness. Before becoming disabled, Mr. Vandermark was
last employed as a carpenter for almost twenty-five years.
Prior to this he was employed at Batesville Casket Company for ten
years. Mr. Vandermark was also a "shade tree mechanic" always
willing to help repair vehicles for family and friends. He
was an avid gun collector and enjoyed fishing before his
illness. Most of all Mr. Vandermark was a loving and devoted
son, husband, brother, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Vandermark of Estill Springs,
Mother, Annie Florence Link of Lakeland, Fla., son, B.J. (Laurie)
Vandermark of Winchester, daughter, Becky (Rusty) Stubblefield
of Sherwood, brother, Ralph (Sue) Link of Denver, Colorado,
sisters; Carolyn Dobbins, Trudy (Guy) Howard and Jeanne (Rick)
Smith all of Lakeland, Fla., grandchildren; Logan Davis, Stephanie,
Ashley, and Julie Vandermark, Haley and Tyler Stubblefield.
Services for Mr. Vandermark are scheduled for 5:00 P.M.
Wednesday evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with
visitation from 1:00-5:00 P.M. prior to the services. Bro.
Johnny Bradford will officiate. It was Mr. Vandermark's
request that he be cremated following services.
