Martha Lou Best Myers, age 82, a resident of The Willows at Winchester Care and Rehabilitation Center, departed this life on Tuesday, March 08, 2011 after an extended illness. She was born to the late Robert Best and Doris Gregory Best in Martinsville, Indiana. Mrs. Myers attended Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana and was a retired elementary school teacher. She was of the Baptist/Quaker faith.
Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin “Jack” Myers, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Neff Harris of Estill Springs, TN where she resided before becoming a resident at The Willows. Son, Steve (Sherry) Neff of Walkerton, IN. Grandchildren; Greg Neff of Naples, Fla., Becka (Tony) Overmeyer of South Bend, IN, Robert (Eugenia) Elliott of Paris, TN, Michele (Jose) Sanchez of Belvidere, TN and Joseph (Elizabeth) Elliott of Estill Springs, TN. 10 Great-Grandchildren.
Services for Ms. Myers are scheduled for 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 11, at Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home in Rochester, Indiana. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday evening. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown, IN.
