Mattie Riddle Lendley, age 90, of Tullahoma, Tenn. departed
this life on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Golden Living Center-Mtn.
View in Winchester where she had been a resident for almost four
years. Ms. Mattie was born in the Winchester Springs
Community in Franklin County, Tenn. She was homemaker and was
of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted mother,
grandmother and sister as well as wife to her late husband, George
Lendley.
She was also preceded in death by her sons; Marshall and Willard
Lendley and grandson, Christopher Clark Lendley. She is
survived by her children; Joe (Joyce) Lendley of Tullahoma,
Jerry (Ann) Lendley of Normandy, Billy (Cathy) Lendley of Lynchurg,
Ted (Sara) Lendley of Shelbyville and Edd (Kim) Lendley of
Tullahoma, Audrey (Ronnie) Farris of Tullahoma, Brenda Blankenship
of Lynchburg, Tenn. sisters; Lota Carpenter of Spring Hill,
and Johnnie Insel of Tullahoma, brother, Roy B. Riddle of
Winchester Springs Community, 11-grandchildren
23-great-grand-children.
Visitation with the family is scheduled for 4:00-8:00 P.M.
Monday evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Services for Ms. Lendley are 1:00 P.M. Tuesday with Bro. Howard
Riddle officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood
Cemetery in Tullahoma.
