Robert "Tyson" Isbell, age 87, of Estill Springs, Tenn.,
departed this life on August 5, 2011, at Southern TN Medical Center
in Winchester. Mr. Isbell was a member of the Estill Springs
First Baptist Church serving in several different capacities during
his membership there. He was a 32nd degree Mason
and a former Estill Springs City Alderman. Mr. Isbell retired
from AEDC in 1986 where he was employed as a machinist. He
worked for several years at Oak Ridge before his employment with
AEDC. Mr. Isbell was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in
WWII and the Korean Wars. Mr. Isbell's hobbies were woodworking and
his favorite was meeting and talking to people, he was a real
"people person". He was a loving and devoted husband,
father, and grandfather.
Mr. Isbell is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edith Isbell of
Estill Springs, Tenn., Son, Howard (Sharon) Isbell of Estill
Springs, Daughters; Debbie (David) Michael of Tullahoma and Pam
(Ken) Turner of Estill Springs. Eight grandchildren; John
(Erin) Michael of Atlanta, GA., William Joshua Isbell of Norfolk,
VA Westley Kyle Isbell also of Norfolk, VA., Tyson Isbell of
Norfolk VA, Megan Marie Turner of Nashville, TN, Brandi
(Andy) Giel of Manchester, TN, Chelsea Turner of Nashville, TN,
Kristin Turner of Estill Springs, and three
great-grandchildren; Hailey, Trenton and Ansley Giel.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Saturday
Evening in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services for
Mr. Isbell are 4:00 P.M. Sunday evening with Bro. Jim Patton,
officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial
Gardens, Winchester with Military Honors bestowed.
