Robert William Knott, age 80, of Decherd, Tenn.departed this life on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 at Southern TN Medical Center in Winchester, Tenn., following an extended illness.  Mr. Knott was born in Sewanee, Tenn. to the late Robert Lee and Dovie Knott.  He was an Air Force Veteran.  After serving his country, Mr. Knott was employed for several years at the Dutch Maid Bakery as a baker.  He was then employed for many years as a funeral assistant before his retirement.  He is survived by his wife, Marlene Knott of Decherd, sons; James (Charlotte) Knott of Estill Springs, Robert Knott of Winchester and daughters; Sue Fulmer of Cowan, Karen (Tom) Jones of Columbus, Ga., April (Adam) Sears of Decherd and Barbara Gifford of Decherd, sister- in-law,  Ann Morris of Winchester and brother-in-law, Charlie Wiseman of Beech Grove, Tenn.  11-grand-children and 8-great-grandchildren.  Visitation for Mr. Knott is from 2:00 P.M. until service time at 4:00 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro.
