Ronnie M.Knott, age 63, of Smyrna, TN formerly of Cowan, departed this life on Thurs., Jan. 27, 2011, at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna following an extended illness.  Mr. Knott was a Kidney transplant receipient in 2000.  Before his transplant he was employed as an ejection mold engineer.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Knott was also Navy veteran. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; Jimmy Knott and Elizabeth Syler. 

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Gamble Knott of Smyrna, TN. Sons; Chris (Nicole) Knott of Philadelphia, PA, Shawn (Missy) Knott of Smyrna. Daughters; Kim Sullivan of Tifton, GA, Beth (Bobby) Jordan of Eagleville, TN and Jeannie (Bobby) Hall of Vass, NC.  Brother, Darryl Syler of Little Rock, Arkansas and Step-father, Charles Syler of Cowan, TN.  14-Grandchildren and 1-Great-Grandchild.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday evening in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services.   In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the American Kidney Foundation.  It was Mr. Knott’s request that he be cremated.
