Ronnie Dale West, age 61, of Estill Springs, TN, departed this life on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at his residence, loosing his battle with cancer.  Mr. West was a heavy Machine Operator for over forty years working for Tinsley Paving Company most of those years. His hobbies included, fishing, racing as well as being a “shade tree mechanic”. 

He is survived by his special friend, Julia Eley of Estill Springs, TN, Sons; Rodney (June) West of Estill Springs, Scottie (Mary Jane) West of Lynchburg, TN.  Step-sons; Bro. Forrest (Lori) Bryan of Lynchburg, Billy Bryan of Tullahoma and Gene Bryan of Florida.  8-Great grandchildren and several aunts and uncles. 

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday Evening.  Services for Mr. West are 2:00 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Forrest Bryan officiating.  Interment will be in Pennington Cemetery in Estill Springs.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made by contacting Grant Funeral Services.

    I would like to say that I send my deepest condolences to the Family , and especially to Julia, who is a very special Friend to me along. I had only known Ronnie a Couple of Years, But I grew to care for him just like a family member to me. I don't think I ever saw Ronnie that he didn't treat me the way he would treat me as part of his family. He was a very good friend, and will be missed. I only hate that I didn't get to spend more time with Ronnie in the short time I knew him. Rest peacefully, my dear friend!!!
